What People Are Saying

Victoria has been fortunate to work with many clients from around the World. Here is some lovely feedback from all these wonderful people.

“I started therapy with Victoria after experiencing a severe form of burn-out. Although I had no expectations when I initially contacted her, I quickly realised how liberating it was to exchange with such an intelligent and attentive person. In our conversations and emails, she would subtly provide the support and guidance needed to help me find answers to my questions. In less than three months, not only did she allow me to get back to work and enjoy it, she also taught me various techniques that significantly improved my quality of life and general balance. I have since then recommended her services to some of my closest friends and would do so with anyone undergoing difficult times in their personal or professional lives.”

“Victoria has a great deal of experience and intuition. Her approach is natural, humble and she brings more than a one box fits all approach. Having such varied experience means Victoria has a truly holistic view to living a balanced lifestyle and can read a room when it is needed to switch things up or change the pace. If you have the opportunity to work with Victoria or retreat with her through The Complete Calm Company, it is an absolute must! A very special human indeed!”

“I was working in Thailand and had been told there was an amazing Spa in Hua Hin called Chiva Som. I had been over there for a year, working as a teacher in Bangkok. My Mother had saved to give me a birthday present of a weekend at the Spa and when I was there, I booked an appointment with Victoria. I wanted to give up smoking and tackle some other issues. It was one of the most amazing experiences I’ve ever had. I am so grateful to her, I don’t smoke to this day and I learnt so much that I now use in my life. Can’t say thank you enough.”

“At 19 I received a very serious health diagnosis and, in an effort to gain some control over the situation, an appointment with Victoria was organised by a relative. I firmly believe Victoria is the reason I am still here today. Her wealth of knowledge, advice and care, gave me peace of mind during a trying time in my life. To this day I still use elements of her holistic advice. It is mind blowing how she knows how to take care of your whole body and soul. I cannot recommend her highly enough.”

“I had been attending evening group meditation classes at Yoga Dragon with Victoria for several months earlier in the year.  Following on from how much I enjoyed these and felt that they were beneficial, I then participated in a Living in Balance workshop with Victoria Laverty late September 2019. Victoria introduced us to 'fried eggs'….but not as you know them! At her group workshop we were invited to return to basics.  By looking at, thinking about and feeling how we behaved in our day to day actions – eating, sleeping, relationships with others and ourselves etc., we were able to see how we related in each area.  How we 'do' these basics is pretty much the building blocks of our lives. By looking at these areas, we could start to consider how we could do these things more compassionately, lovingly, gently by introducing healthier approaches based on root behaviours.  An approach to help us nurture ourselves. Throughout this in-depth, intense and fully supported day, I experienced profound awareness' and further useful realisations. The environment where the workshop was held was warm and welcoming.  Victoria created a cosy, safe, calm and structured space physically, mentally and spiritually in which to explore these relationships with our- 'selves.'  The day was broken into periods of 'work' and reflection individually and within the group.  The 'work' was through guided meditations, fried eggs (you will have to ask Victoria about these yourself!!), personal writing and thinking, group sharing (as much or as a little as you felt comfortable with) and reflection. Regular refreshments and a delicious lunch were provided on the day. What I experienced was a great sense of being present, being seen, heard and supported. It was a lovely day all round.  I would highly recommend Victoria as a practitioner.”

“I spent an incredible weekend with Victoria doing a Living in Balance workshop. Her knowledge and understanding is deep and holistic. She helped me to better understand my patterns of behaviour and identify positive changes that I could make to better balance my life. Could not recommend highly enough! A very special human being!”

“Following a life - threatening operation, I was experiencing bouts of depression. My GP prescribed non-addictive medication and advised that counselling would be beneficial too. He gave me the contact number for the NHS Mind Matters. This was ineffectual although I completed their course of online sessions and was signed off. Then my daughter suggested Victoria. That was the start of the journey.
Victoria's approach is very holistic. She listens and then unpicks your thought process to explain why you feel the way you do. It isn't an easy fix. It is emotional but it is done in a safe, non - judgemental way. Every session was an emotional rollercoaster for me but after each one I understood myself more and felt less gloomy. Victoria is adept at creating a safe and comfortable environment within which you can be vulnerable. She is gentle but her process is powerful.”

“Victoria is by far one of the most level headed, knowledgeable and informed people in her field.”

‘’I felt low, I felt scared about what to do with my life, I just couldn’t shake the feeling that I didn’t feel right. My work was suffering and I found myself pretending I was ok to those around me. When I was alone then the difficult thoughts and uncomfortable feelings were unbearable. Victoria helped me through this, I learnt ways not just to cope but to live well again. She’s a life saver, and I mean that in the truest sense.’’
